The Sufferfest Announces Three New Videos and Release of Windows App Beta

October 7, 2016 – The Sufferfest, creator of the world’s best training app and videos for structured cycling workouts, today announced the release of three new cycling training videos, taking their library of workouts to a total of 37. Also released today is the highly anticipated Windows Beta version of their popular Sufferlandrian Training Centre App.

The three new videos are available exclusively in the app and not available for download. Two of the workouts, Thin Air and The Omnium, were designed by sports scientist Neal Henderson of Apex Coaching. Thin Air is a one hour video featuring a 40 minute climb and footage from the Giro d’Italia. The Omnium is a 50 minute session based on track cycling’s Omnium competition with footage from the UCI Track World Championships in London, England. Lastly, Igniter is a 20 minute warm-up based on the protocol developed by British Cycling with footage from the Team Time Trial in the Giro d’Italia.

The Windows Beta of The Sufferlandrian Training Centre app sees The Sufferfest add to their established Mac, iPad and iPhone offerings. One Sufferfest account will work across all the platforms. The Beta gives Windows users streaming access to the entire Sufferfest library, including app-only exclusives and updated versions of older videos. Riders can also connect smart trainers, power meters and heart rate monitors to the app to set and train to specific fitness targets. Those with normal turbo trainers can connect speed sensors and train with the app’s virtual power function.

“As we’ve moved over to a subscription model, tens of thousands of Sufferlandrians have made the switch to our app. Finally, the patient Sufferlandrians on Windows computers can join us” said Sufferfest Chief Suffering Officer David McQuillen. “Our app fundamentally changes how you train, giving you exact targets based on your own fitness. You can also adjust the intensity of videos, allowing you to customise the session based on your needs.”

The Sufferfest will launch the full Windows version on November 4. That release will bring it in line with the existing apps, adding downloadable videos, smart trainer control and social sharing to the app’s functionality. Upcoming releases of the app will include free training plans, additional training content and achievement records.

The Sufferlandrian Training Centre app has a free seven day trial and, for those that continue, the subscription is $10 USD a month.  Riders can create an account and download the app at http://ift.tt/2djITVy

About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
