TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Performance testing and endurance coaching company, Science of Speed, is proud to have partnered with the Police Unity Tour to provide athletes in the Southeast region with training and coaching to help them complete the endurance fundraising event. Their preparation will culminate at the Police Unity Tour’s main event in Washington, D.C. on May 10, 2017.
The national cycling tour seeks to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. Cyclists who participate in the Police Unity Tour will complete 250 miles, as well as complete two qualifying rides in anticipation of the event. Science of Speed will be providing a scientifically developed training plan to provide to participants in the Southeast region, ensuring they are able to complete the qualifying rides and the event with ease. Athletes will interact with Science of Speed through an online portal, as well as through video messages from Coach and Owner, Brady Irwin.
“Over the next few months, cyclists will be working to build stamina and endurance using their Science of Speed training plan,” said Brady Irwin, Science of Speed owner and coach. “While the event is a fundraiser and not a race, the task that lies ahead of these athletes is not one to take lightly. We’re looking forward to interacting with them and guiding them as they work to support this outstanding cause.”
