AUSTIN, Texas, August 23, 2016 — High Five Events, one of the largest privately owned event production companies in the United States, is thrilled to have H-E-B return as Presenting Sponsor for the Kerrville Triathlon Festival. The Festival will take place the weekend of September 24-25 and include eight different distance events, highlight H-E-B’s community impact, and showcase the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
H-E-B, which was founded in Kerrville in 1905, has been a presenting sponsor since 2012. Team H-E-B will be on hand to promote their health and wellness products at their booth. In addition, more than 100 members of Team H-E-B will volunteer or compete in one of the eight events. Packets will be stuffed inside H-E-B reusable shopping bags. Nearly all of the food and products at the event will come from H-E-B, including: fruits, vegetables, water, Quench sports drinks, tortillas, condiments, paper plates, utensils, assorted snacks, and the all-important post-race fajitas.
“This relationship has grown by leaps and bounds since 2012,” said Dan Carroll, co-owner of High Five Events. “Having H-E-B involved is perfect for our event because their emphasis on community relations and a healthy lifestyle is unsurpassed.”
Starting in 2011, Kerrville Triathlon was founded with the idea of bringing out the beauty and welcoming nature of the Texas Hill Country. Since its start, more than 6,000 participants have crossed the finish line and collected their medals. The event features eight different distance events, including a free kids run. From sprint to half distance and relays to aquabikes, Kerrville Triathlon has something for every type of athlete. Registration for all events is currently open.
