ChronoTrack welcomes former timer Kevin Smith as Eastern Regional Sales Manager

Louisville, Colo., October 3 – ChronoTrack, the leading provider of complete race solutions for endurance sports, is excited to announce the official hiring of Kevin Smith, former timer and race director, as the new Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern Region.

“Many of our timers are already familiar with Kevin as a peer and colleague,” explained Mike Milici, Director of Sales at ChronoTrack, “We couldn’t be more pleased to have recruited someone with his tenure, diversity, and skillset in the endurance industry.”

Kevin began his career in 1999 when he opened his specialty running store, Elite Runners & Walkers, in Pittsburgh, PA. Over the next 17 years, the store was named five times as one of the “Top 50 Running Shops in America” and Kevin began producing running events with his team, totaling close to 220 races.

Kevin then started his own race timing company, Elite Runners Race Management, in 2013 using ChronoTrack products. While still operating his retail and race production companies, Kevin was able to grow Elite Runners Race Management from just 18 races in their first year to nearly 90 in 2016.

Since then, Kevin has agreed to an acquisition of his total retail and timing operations and has helped oversee the blending of his specialty running shop with Pittsburgh’s largest specialty bike store, now a four-store operation known as Pro Bike + Run. The race production side of Kevin’s operations is now known as LightSpeed Race Management.

“I’ve worn just about every hat in the endurance industry,” says Kevin, “And I’m excited for the new challenges awaiting me as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager. I’m looking forward to using my own experiences, plus the invaluable feedback from ChronoTrack’s timers, to improve endurance events across the country.”
