Angel Fire Adventure wraps up its Second Annual Event

Angel Fire, NM – The second annual Angel Fire Adventure Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k and Happy Feet Kids Run took place on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Angel Fire, New Mexico. A field of nearly 400 participants across all distances took to the roads which provided a beautiful run at the base of the rocky mountains and the challenge of running, walking or crawling at 8,500 feet.

“The event saw record growth with a 160% increase over last year, with participants coming from 32 states and three countries. With participants coming from all corners of the country and world, it truly shows that the Angel Fire Adventure is a world-class event for any participant” commented David Ranck, CEO & event Director of RWC Adventures. “Angel Fire is a special, beautiful location for any event, and especially this run/walk. Every-time I drive into the Village after being gone, I am reminded of the caring, good natured people who live and work here” Ranck continued to comment.

The third annual Angel Fire Adventure Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k and Happy Feet Kids Run will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2017 with registration opening in one week. About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
