Picky Bars Raises Bonking Awareness with New Promotion

Just in time for back-to-school, Picky Bars—the Oregon-based energy bar company founded by professional athletes Jesse Thomas, Lauren Fleshman, and Steph Bruce—is raising awareness for a serious issue that affects thousands every day, bonking.

From running marathons to surviving recess, the bonk is a dreaded struggle. The team at Picky Bars knows keeping healthy and, more importantly, delicious snacks on hand helps keep the hanger meltdowns away.

Now through August 27, avoid the bonk by joining the Picky Club and receive a free box of Ah, Fudge Nuts! by entering code KIDSBONKTOO during checkout. Picky Club offers automatic monthly delivery of 12, 18, or 24 bars and gives customers full control to switch the flavors and number of bars they wish to have delivered to their doorstep.

About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
