Chattanooga, TN (August 8, 2016) – American Bicycle Group (ABG), manufacturer of award-winning high performance bicycles – Litespeed (LS) and Quintana Roo (QR) – took its next step in managing continued future success with a move into a newly refurbished larger building in Chattanooga, TN. Backed by more than three decades of leadership in high-end, high-performance titanium and carbon bicycles, and with the future growth of both brands in mind, ABG refurbished the new building to provide 38 percent more space than its predecessor. Located just minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the facility houses operations for manufacturing, assembly and corporate offices for LS & QR.
ABG staff completed the move-in mid-June and are excited about the additional space, which will provide for a new showroom, increases in frame manufacturing capacity, the ability to perform more complete in-house bike building and more inventory space.
“The new headquarters is something we planned for a variety of reasons,” said ABG CEO Peter Hurley. “First, we have great plans for the future and needed the space to implement them; and second, we wanted our quick responses to customer’s needs to keep pace with important process improvements.”
The newly refurbished building puts all functions, operations and offices in a single location, and allows for greater opportunity for the LS and QR teams to provide informative, customer-friendly tours to those who want to see how a high-performance design and manufacturing process works. And, “the icing on the cake,” according to Hurley, is the fact that the building is just off the IRONMAN Chattanooga run course and a short distance from the Tennessee River.
The new ABG facility is located at 4216 S. Creek Road in Chattanooga, TN 37206.
