Kerrville Triathlon Festival and City of Kerrville Join Forces Again

AUSTIN, Texas, September 6, 2016 — High Five Events, one of the largest privately owned event production companies in the United States, is proud to announce the continued partnership between the City of Kerrville and  the Kerrville Triathlon Festival presented by H-E-B. Since 2011, the City of Kerrville has opened their arms and truly embraced the event by collaborating on course design, facilitating relationships with local businesses, and providing an energizing atmosphere for the event weekend.

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country right along the beautiful Guadalupe River, Kerrville is a special paradise full of friendly people, where the air is always clean and fresh, and the low humidity climate is pleasant year-round. Typically many city employees and their families participate or volunteer in one or more of the triathlon’s events. Past participants include the City Manager and members of the police and fire departments.

“The City of Kerrville has helped set the foundation for what has always been an amazing weekend,” said Dan Carroll, co-owner of High Five Events. “This year will be no different. We have a true partnership as we continuously work together to improve the event, better the city, and most importantly, continue to expand and enhance this budding partnership.”

Starting in 2011, Kerrville Triathlon was founded with the idea of bringing out the beauty and welcoming nature of the Texas Hill Country. Since its start, more than 10,000 participants have crossed the finish line and collected their medals. The event features eight different distance events, including a free kids run. From sprint to half distance and relays to aquabikes, Kerrville Triathlon has something for every type of athlete. Registration for all events is currently open.

“We look forward to welcoming Kerrville Tri participants from near and far to the beautiful Texas Hill Country this year,” said Kaitlin Berry, Special Projects Manager for the City of Kerrville. “We are especially excited that participants will have the opportunity to run along our gorgeous new river trail and cross the finish line right next to the beautiful Guadalupe River in Louise Hays Park.”
