Intelligentsia Cup p/b SRAM producing live stream for Pro Road Tour events

July 11, 2016 – The Intelligentsia Cup powered by SRAM will be live streaming the final two races of the 2016 series – the Northwestern Medicine Lake Bluff Criterium and the Goose Island Grand Prix powered by SRAM. Both are on the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour national calendar.

New this year is the use of a 38-foot HD mobile production truck that will substantially increase the quality of coverage and viewing experience. Seasoned cycling announcer Brad Sohner will call the racing action live along with former professional Frankie Andreu.

“We are upping the level of cycling coverage available to fans,” said managing partner Tom Schuler. “There is an audience that wants to watch cycling and we want to give them a quality viewing experience comparable to the top races around the world. We are investing a lot in this production in hopes that fans and sponsors will both benefit.”

Plans for this year include aerial coverage and live on-bike video from within the race.

The first day of the live streaming in Lake Bluff will be free for everyone to view, while the final day in Chicago will be pay-per-view for five dollars ($5 USD). “We hope that the viewers will recognize and appreciate the production quality and support our efforts,” said Schuler.

About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
