St. Louis, MO/Las Vegas, NV: Interbike, the largest annual gathering of the bicycle industry in North America, is featuring a new event this year called the Mechanics Challenge. This unique 2- day competition will test the skills of more than 100 bike mechanics over the course of several challenging obstacles presented to them. The challenge is, they will be timed.
An event this complex requires a dependable and knowledgeable timing company. Interbike reached out to Innovative Timing Systems to take on the role as official timing company and supporting sponsor for the Mechanics Challenge.

Innovative Timing Systems will keep track of individual times on leaderboard monitors throughout the event. The event will be prominently featured on the Interbike show floor with grandstand seating for spectators. Nine-time Tour de France racer and broadcast personality Frankie Andreu will keep the event moving as emcee.
The qualifying rounds will take place on Wednesday, September 21 from 10-5 pm and Thursday, September 22 from 10-2 pm. The finals will take place on Thursday from 3-5 pm.

Innovative Timing Systems will also be the official timing company and supporting sponsor again this year for the always anticipated Pump Track Time Trial, where bikers test their skills on a dirt track with the fastest time winning. Bikers are able to see their time instantly down to the thousandths of a second on a large digital clock. This event is open to anyone registered for Interbike and will take place on Monday, September 19 from 10-4 pm and Tuesday, September 20 from 10-2 pm. Results and standings will be placed on the ITS YOUR RACE mobile app.
