currexSole Athlete Alice Hector Wins Her First Ironman 70.3 Title

Ruegen, Germany (September 27, 2016)–currexSole athlete Alice Hector took her first Ironman 70.3 title this month in Reugen, Germany. Alice won the race leading from the front to secure the win by over 6 minutes and secured a position on the start line at the Kona Ironman World Championships this October. A former undefeated ultra marathoner, Alice took to triathlon in 2013. The win in Germany comes after a difficult 2015 season where she faced a big DNF and questioning her place in the sport. Alice’s worlds after this victory were a well deserved, “Finally!”

To stay healthy and perform at her best Alice relies on currexSole, Europe’s leading insole brand, to enhance the comfort of her cycling (BIKEPRO) and running (RUNPRO) shoes. Post-race she shared, “This was my first Ironman 70.3 win on Sunday and it could not have been done without the support of currexSole.”

Look for Alice to compete for an Ironman World Championships podium spot in Kona on October 8th. Lutz Klein, currexSole Americas CEO and MD is pleased with the form of the currexSole athletes heading towards the World Championships, “Alice joins our incredibly strong currexSole racing team in Kona which includes fellow Ironman champions Caroline Steffen and Nils Frommhold. About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
