Portland, OR – BibRave, the turn-key promotional tool for races and endurance brands, has tapped Erin Tierney to be its new Community Manager, tasked with leading and growing its large community of running ambassadors, the BibRave Pros.
Ms. Tierney, a BibRave Pro herself for over two years, brings a wealth of social media marketing, social auditing, and community management experience, having worked with social media leaders like Quiip and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
“BibRave has quickly become a must-use resource for runners, races, and endurance brands of all kind,” said Ms. Tierney. “Having been part of the BibRave Pro Ambassador program for over two years, I’m thrilled to join the team and help grow the BibRave brand!”
BibRave saw strong interest in the Community Manager position, reviewing over 50 applications from qualified candidates across the running industry. But ultimately the most qualified candidate came from within the BibRave Pro program itself.
BibRave Pros are all active running bloggers and social influencers, and BibRave uses their combined networks and audiences to drive awareness and more registrations/sales for races and brands.
“Erin has been a standout BibRave Pro for years, so she quickly emerged as a strong candidate,” said Tim Murphy, co-founder of BibRave. “Couple that performance and leadership with her professional experience as a social marketer and community builder, and we knew we had the right fit. The entire BibRave team is totally thrilled to have her in this role.”
About BibRave
BibRave works with races and brands to help them engage with runners and ultimately drive more sales and registrations. Through their large network of running bloggers, BibRave Pros, their popular Twitter event, #BibChat, and their newly launched Podcast, BibRave helps endurance brands and races go beyond simple advertising and truly connect with more runners.
The company’s consumer facing-product is a race review site where runners can learn about a race before signing up, and leave feedback after the event. The brand launched in late 2013 in Chicago and is now based in Portland, Oregon.
