USA Productions and Bike East Bay have teamed up to bring the Oakland Gran Fondo to the East Bay of Northern California on October 23, 2016. Riders can choose between routes of 18, 55 and 100 miles. All rides start and end in Jack London Square. 18-mile option covers the new Bay Bridge Expansion with a family friendly ride, 55 and 100 mile options cover iconic climbs and routes through the East Bay hills.
The goal of the Oakland Gran Fondo is to inject health and wellness into the community with an incredible bike event for all ages and to raise funds for Bike East Bay. The beautiful backdrop of Jack London Square is the perfect setting for this summer event to keep the bike community motivated to stay fit and healthy throughout the year. Creating the largest west coast urban Gran Fondo! “It’s so exciting to see a major biking event kick off in Oakland,” says Renee Rivera, Executive Director of Bike East Bay. “We’re looking forward to an event that brings people of all riding levels out to enjoy the beauty of the East Bay.”
