Addaday and Ragnar Roll Out Multi-year Partnership

July 20, 2016 – Santa Monica, California – Addaday, the leading massage and recovery tool brand in run specialty, is honored to partner with Ragnar as the official massage & recovery tool partner of the largest overnight running relay series in the United States. Runners will be able to test Addaday’s massage rollers over two days and take the tools with them in their van to prepare and recover for their next running leg. There will also be Addaday recovery clinics at the start of the race, at exchange points along the course and at the finish line. Each recovery zone will feature various Addaday products in a tented area in order to recover and relax.

In the Reebok Ragnar Relay Series, teams of 12 run a 200-mile relay over two days and one night; in Ragnar Trail Relays, teams of 8 run a 120-mile trail relay over the same time span. There are 38 Ragnar events across the United States with the next stop at the Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort for the Ragnar Trail Tahoe, CA presented by Salomon July 22-23.

“Recovery during Ragnar relays is a critical element for teams as they work together to cross the finish line happy and healthy,” said Chris Infurchia, CEO of Ragnar. “We are thrilled Addaday has partnered with us and will be placing its massage rollers in each team van to demo in addition to offering a full line of massage products on the course.

Addaday hit the market in 2011 and their scientifically designed tools and grassroots approach have allowed them to become the leading massage brand in the running industry.  In addition to their products, Addaday provides injury prevention services and massage technique clinics to retailers across the country.  And, because of their community involvement, Addaday is seen by the industry as not just a product company, but a service company as well. The Addaday website provides an abundance of resources to help educate the community on the benefits of self massage and techniques to use.

“We are excited about the partnership with Ragnar”, said Vic, founder and CEO of Addaday. “Ragnar is the perfect combination of running and community, and we are looking forward to being in the vans and on the roads helping runners get ready for their next leg, post race recovery and celebration at the finish line.”

About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
