Back in the Game! πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Training for the Littlefoot Sprint Triathlon at Bear Creek Lake Park

After a 7-month break from triathlon training following IRONMAN Cozumel, I’m officially backβ€”and there’s no better way to return than by prepping for the Littlefoot Sprint Triathlon! This fun late-season race is held at the stunning Bear Creek Lake Park, set against the backdrop of Colorado’s majestic foothills.

🌊 750m Swim in Big Soda Lake β€” crisp, clear, and expected to be a perfect 70Β°F
πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ 15K Bike on smooth, rolling roads through the heart of the park
πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ 5K Run along scenic bike paths with killer views

In this video, I share how I’m building fitness again, shaking off the rust, and rediscovering the joy of training in a β€œland before time.” Whether you’re eyeing your first sprint tri or coming back after a long break like me, this one’s for you.

About

Growing up in Colorado you can't help but love the outdoors. Something magical happens with 300 days of sunshine and the Rocky Mountains in your back yard. My athletic endeavors started on the bike, I would get out and ride whenever I could. In 2011 I moved to Oxford, England for work. I missed the sunshine and mountains, but discovered my passion for running. When I moved back to Colorado I started combining cycling and running, so it was only natural that I started competing in triathlons. I took second place at my first sprint, and caught the bug. Today I'm training for my fourth Ironman.
